1. Carlton is a superb presenter with excellent knowledge of topic.
2. Prefer "hands-on" to tryout ideas-I won't remember most by the time I get home. However, I realize with hands-on much less info would be provided.
3. Too many relevant tips to mention here but I am eager to try many of the Excel features, etc. That Carlton touched on. Also plan to use trial versions of Microsoft products such as Such as SharePoint & FrontPage.

Also, dry markers didn't work. Overall, very good course and facilities. I would recommend to others.
9. Although I use features in Excel that we discussed (Pivot Tables, Exporting and Importing Data, filters, etc.) I picked up a lot of tips that will simplify my processes. I enjoyed and learned a lot from the review of these features and various short-cuts. I am also interested in SBA.

14. Appreciated the beneficial info on Excel such as pivot tables and query capabilities I was unaware of. The overview of accounting + reporting systems was also beneficial. A major attraction for me to take the class was the complimentary copy of MS Office 2003. I was fortunate to get a Professional Edition and plan on using it to determine if we should upgrade from MS-Office 2002 @ our organization.

The course was good, but could have been better if he would have shared more of his knowledge on some additional software which is covered in the course book. Made up for a lot of this during the last 1 1/2 hours. Overall good experience.

47. Carlton, change the title of this course and de-emphasize the accounting solutions. Microsoft Business Solutions is the name of the accounting solutions division. MISLEADING AND CONFUSING TO VARs. This course was more general and should have been called "Microsoft Solutions for CPAs." Many attendees thought they were going to see ERP solutions and said they were surprised.
48. Classroom had no internet access.
49. Comments throughout the day made me realize the importance of the web and technology. Our company is in the infant stage of web services and the examples shown give a glimpse of the potential.

51. Course came across as a beta/pilot but has good potential and was useful as a way to gain broad exposure to topics. I'd actually like to see some other topics covered on a survey course of this type - along the lines of Tom Higginbotham's recent webinar on Microsoft Office integrations w/MBS, also topics like SQl Reporting and other analytics (BI). Materials seem like they cover more details than presented - ie., homework.

I am in insurance industry; I appreciated exposure to different industries, e.g.. retailing. I appreciated opinions on various products discussed while disclosing relations lying with vendors - also balanced opinions. The most impressive thing about the speaker that comes through is that he gets a lot of stuff done through technology.

These products are very useful if the core data from which these products extract their needed info to operate efficiently is complete and operational. But these products are beyond my level of expertise. My understanding of the advertisement on this seminar was to learn how Microsoft Office works and how to operate the software for each of the components of the package.

137. For Microsoft SBA should network he outsourcing of after the fact payroll with tax/SBA advisor's who are the one's who recommend accounting software to their clients. Networking with ADP is like telling tax preparers to recommend another accounting package.

I don't like to see instructors who end early. We pay for 8:30 - 4:30 - not 8:30 - 4:00. I would encourage going the full distance.

223. I appreciate the instructor's presentation skills. I can't stand to have to sit still for long periods of time-especially listening to unenthusiastic presenters. Mr. Collins shares relevant info. In an interesting and appropriately entertaining manner. I leave this course with many ideas about how to apply things I've learned and the motivation to delve further into the capabilities of the software/tools discussed.
224. I assumed that this class would be 2007 Excel but it was a combination. If I had known, I would not have signed up. Instructor seemed to be still learning 2007.
225. I could go back to other evaluations and downgrade them all - Carlton's style and command blew them away. He just raised the bar or I need to get to more training. However at points it was a thinly disguised info-mercial. And again the resellers follow him and that in evidence they know he is informed and influential.
